A series of mixed media artworks created at the beginning of the lockdown in an attempt to find new avenues of expression during a global pandemic. Stepping far away from my usual style and mediums, the set explores the raw journey of colour in its unadulterated, unfiltered form - using it as a tool and evoke feelings of urgency and turmoil. Isolation tends to bring with it an uncanny ability to surface deep-rooted emotions that otherwise lay buried within us. The creation of this imagery was an exercise in untying these knots and learning to operate from a place of instinct over intellect.
